This remodel had a couple of previous remodels to undo first before this house got back its mid-century roots. After moving and losing some walls, the simple lines of the house began to shine through. As in many older homes, a lot of the spaces were divided by solid walls and just needed a little opening up. Although too much opening can be unsettling, we struck just the right balance by opening up the kitchen, dining and living room as well as creating a central hallway for improved circulation where none previously existed.
